Syse Gard

Syse Gard - A brand for generations

Syse Gard

Syse Gard is one of the few Norwegian companies that has been recognized as a craft company for safeguarding the Norwegian tradition of craftsmanship. They have been producing fruits, meats and sides on the farm since 1888, and now the sixth generation wants to revitalize the brand to promote the history, the people and the products as they deserve. Syse Gård wants to increase visits, sales, brand awareness and strengthen its reputation in the Hardanger region.

In keeping with a more historical feel for the identity, inspiration was drawn from the typography on old fruit boxes, particularly their combinations of capital letters and italics. To tell the story of all the generations on the farm, we chose an illustrative element shaped like an apple tree. The apple tree with deep roots symbolizes both the six generations and the raw material on which they have built their life's work. The colors are naturally drawn from the farm itself, with green tones from apples, trees and plants, as well as brown tones from the soil and bark. The logo was designed so that it is timeless, and can be used as a stamp of quality for future generations.
