From fjord to glacier — a spectacular destination in Hardanger
Glacier Road
Glacier Road is a road in Hardanger that connects fjord and glacier. The road has 1200 meters of climb and is 19 km long. Jondal municipality wanted to make the road a new and attractive destination in the region. The target audience of Glacier Road is the active and adventurous tourist, who wants to experience varied and spectacular scenery.
An interactive travel experience
To make the road an attractive destination we wanted to promote all the unique areas and experiences along this road. That's why we developed the concept “Fjord to Glacier”. Each icon illustrates an area along the road, and collectively these make up Glacier Road. To hit the target audience, we made the identity bold, tight and dynamic. The colors of the identity are taken from the fjord, the glacier and the road. The font is bold and is inspired by road signs. The website of Glacier Road should be experienced as an interactive journey. On the landing page, you can scroll through all parts of Glacier Road. On the subpages you get detailed information about the different places and what you can experience in the surrounding area.
