Cure and NMF team up
Content taken from Norges Musikkorps press release on musikkorps.no
Struggling to find your way around musickorps.no? Don't know exactly where to start looking for help running your corps? You're not alone! We have taken note of the feedback and are in the process of developing a brand new web portal!
Norges Musikkorps Forbund is in an exciting phase, with good momentum and direction to strengthen the individual corps, so the time to make major changes at musikorps.no is right, says Secretary General of NMF, Kjersti Tubaas.
The project is part of the strategy to improve digital communication. Musikkorps.no will become our main showcase and the web portal will act as a killer tool for NMF in its efforts to strengthen the individual member corps.

The little extra
After an extensive process, NMF decided to enter into a partnership with design and digital agency Cure. Cure has previously worked for organisations such as the shipping company DOF, DNT and Visit Hardanger.
Cure was a breath of fresh air in the tender process. They are a relatively young agency, but they have already worked with large and reputable clients. We have the belief that they will give the corps movement something that will surprise and impress us, while being committed to caring for our history. I am looking forward to seeing what we will achieve together,” says Monika Heggem, project manager for musikorps.no.
They will not only give us a nice web portal, they will give us a web portal with that little extra. And of course it helps that they have a fixed price, Kjersti and Monika agree.
Several of NMF's regions are involved in the work on a new web portal, and the General Manager of NMF Hordaland, Janne Rabben, is looking forward to working closely with Cure.
There's something about that dot on the i that you can't quite put into words. They are genuinely interested in getting to know the organization and they have a edging.
Korpsguiden — Digital Corps Manual for the Board Member
After the pandemic, several NGOs have known that recruitment has become more difficult. Many corps may feel that it is not easy to bring in new directors and that is something NMF must take seriously.
Our new website will help make it easier for the Corps Board to operate and develop its corps. Our main target audience is precisely directors of the corps. With a good and informative website, it should be easier for a new board member to know what the job is really about, continues Monika.
In addition to the main page, musikorps.no, a Korpsguide will also be developed, a guide for the board of directors who will establish, operate and develop their corps. We have been inspired by Idrettsforbundets Klubguide, and shall create a guide where the Board can easily find information for the day-to-day operations of the Corps.
The Importance of Easily Accessible Information
The current website was developed around 2015. Since then, major changes have occurred in the digital landscape.
There is a lot of exciting content on today's website, both for the corps and for others interested in the corps movement in Norway. But the content is hard to find and there is a lot that is difficult to understand.
Today we see that it is information about events, such as registrations, submission of scores and the like, as well as “corps operations”, including support schemes and other board work, that have the most readers on the website. That's why it's important to us that this is information readily available to corps board members,” says Monika, who is looking forward to embarking on the job alongside Cure and colleagues both regionally and nationally.
