This could be the cause of your website not delivering — and here's how to fix it
Do you find that your website is not converting as expected? Sometimes the leads are missing, despite the fact that you are satisfied with both the design and the content. There are usually some main reasons why customers don't convert, and you can learn more about them here!
1. Unclear or missing Call to Actions (CTAs)
One of the things we see most often when conversions fail is missing contact requests on important pages and places on the website. Some have only a contact form on the contact page, where it also does not say anything about what the customer can expect to happen by filling in this form. This creates insecurity. Focus on having action buttons and calls to action on your website with clear messages so that you make it as easy as possible for your customer to get in touch.
2. A non-optimal user experience
One of the main reasons for losing visitors is that they do not perceive the website as either simple, informative or simply pleasant. A good summary mantra is that a website should not require the user to have to think! It should be so intuitive, easy to scan and easy to find information that everything runs on automatics. In addition, it should load fast, be mobile-friendly and generally have no technical challenges. In short - the user's well-being should be in focus!
3. Lack of signals that you can trust
This is one of the most important things you can include on your website. In order for a new visitor to know that you are to be trusted and do a good job, they need to hear from others their experiences. This can be asking customers manually if they want to give a review, or encouraging customers to use e.g. Google Reviews or Trustpilot and include these on the website. If you have any certifications or dimplomicons, these should also be centrally located on the page. If you have payment solutions on the website, these should also be recognizable solutions. In addition, a clean design and good photos can come into play to show that you are a serious business.
4th. Weak Value Propositions and Missing USPs
Another element that many people surprisingly forget is telling customers what you stand for and why they should actually choose you over a competitor. This should be clearly visible on the front page and around the various subpages of their website. Remember that what is clear as the day to you may not be as clear to customers!
5. Ineffective communication
Do you really know what real pain points you solve for customers apart from having a good product? You may want to sit down in a group and map out which “hurts” the customer has that you solve, combined with the client's wishes and interests. Understanding the customer is essential in order to be able to hit the spotlight on communication.
